Identity for AI Agents

A verifiable, tamper-evident identity for AI agents that keeps pace with how they behave.

The Problem

AI agents increasingly carry out transactions, take part in decision-making, create content and interact with digital and physical systems. To trust them, we need to know which agent we are dealing with, and that its identity has not been tampered with.

Many current identity approaches are static, and struggle to reflect how an agent actually behaves over time.

The Idea

NexArt is developing a concept for a non-transferable, blockchain-anchored identity for AI agents. The identity responds to changes in an agent's behaviour, and keeps a tamper-evident history that others can rely on when deciding whether to trust it.

Where it Matters

Transactions

Confirming that an agent making payments or trades is who it claims to be.

Decision-making

Verifying agents that vote, approve or take part in governance.

Content and provenance

Showing which agent created a piece of content.

Connected devices

Supporting trust in data that agents collect from connected systems.

Status

NexArt is at concept stage. A UK patent application (No. 2604570.8) has been filed and is pending. NexArt is not currently offering a product or service, and is open to conversations with potential collaborators.
